    Patriot, statesman, lawyer, political writer, educator. Son of Inocencio Mabini and Dionisia Maranan. Rose from poverty. Joined the Revolution becoming chief adviser of General Emilio Aguinaldo. Struck with paralysis, January, 1896. Imprisoned by the Spaniards, following October; by the Americans, 1899. Exiled to Guam, January 15, 1901; returned February 26, 1903; died in Manila, May 13, 1903.[13]
