Borland, 83, widely known Bowerston merchant, was found dead in his home there yesterday morning at 10:30 by Claude Gordon of Bowerston. Death was due to a stroke and occurred sometime Monday night. Mr. Borland operated a general store in Bowerston for the past 40 years. A life long resident of that vicinity, he was born September 27, 1877, son of the late James and Catherine Walker Borland. Surviving are one son, Weldon Borland of Kent and a daughter, Miss Ruth Borland of Akron. Funeral services will be conducted at the Boor Funeral Home at 2 p. m. Thursday with Rev. C. W. Walter officiating. Burial will be in Long View Cemetery. Bowerston. The body is at the Boor Funeral Home.[15].
