## Summary

Yves Delage was born May 13, 1854, in Avignon.[1][2][3][4] He was a zoologist and marine biologist. He studied at the University of Caen Normandy, Paris Medical Faculty, and Science Faculty of Paris.[5]He was employed by the University of Paris, Station biologique de Roscoff (1901–1920), and École pratique des hautes études (1878–present).[6] He was a member of the French Academy of Sciences, Société zoologique de France, and Russian Academy of Sciences.[6]He received awards including Officer of the Legion of Honour, Darwin Medal, honorary doctor of the Jagiellonian University of Krakow, honorary doctor of the University of Aberdeen, Honorary doctorate from the University of Geneva, and Honorary Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh + 1 more.[7] He died October 7, 1920, in Sceaux.[1][2][4]
