Sergey Stechkin was born on September 6, 1920, in Moscow. He worked as a mathematician and university teacher[1]. He studied at the N. I. Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod, Lomonosov Moscow State University, and the MSU Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics. He died on November 22, 1995, in Moscow and was buried at Novodevichy Cemetery.
