He received his education from Evergreen Park Community High School District 231 and Harvard University.His political career includes serving as a delegate as of 2008 and holding the position of deputy chairperson in 2009[2][8][3][1][9]. He later served as a member of the Arizona House of Representatives from 2011 to 2014[2][8][3][1][9]. Subsequently, he was a member of the United States House of Representatives from 2017 to 2019[2][8][3][1][9].He is affiliated with the U.S.-Japan Caucus, the Congressional Progressive Caucus, and Sigma Chi[10][11][1].
