## Summary

Rotem Sorek was born on March 16, 1975, in Tel Aviv.[1][2] He was educated at Tel Aviv University.[3]He is employed by the Weizmann Institute of Science.[4] His awards include the Michael Bruno Memorial Award, the Michael Landau Prize, the Max Planck-Humboldt Research Award, and the Selman A. Waksman Award in Microbiology.[5][3][6][7]He is a member of the German Academy of Sciences Leopoldina and the National Academy of Sciences.[8]
