## Summary

Lucien Sève was born on December 9, 1926 in Chambéry[1][2][3][4] and died on March 23, 2020 at Hôpital Antoine-Béclère from COVID-19[5][6][2][4][7][8]. He was married to Françoise Sève from 1952 until 2011[9].He studied at lycée du Parc and École Normale Supérieure[10], and his intellectual work focused on philosophy, materialism, dialectic, and Marxism[11] within the Western philosophy movement. His thought was influenced by Georges Politzer, Karl Marx, and Lev Vygotsky[12][13].In public roles, he served as municipal councillor of Chaumont in 1953[9] and later as director from 1970 to 1982[9]. He was a member of the National Ethics Advisory Committee and the Comité Maurice-Audin[14].
