Jules Allix was born on September 9, 1818, in Fontenay-le-Comte[1][2][3] and died on September 1, 1903, in the 2nd arrondissement of Paris[4][3][5]. He was a French citizen. His siblings were Émile Allix, Thérèse-Mirza Allix, Bathilde Allix, Augustine Allix, and Eudoxie Allix[1][6][7].He worked as an activist, inventor, communard, women's rights activist, politician, and intellectual[1]. During his political career, he served as the mayor of the 8th arrondissement of Paris in 1871[1]. Additionally, he was a member of the Commune Council[1].
