He was employed by the Collège de France from 1814 to 1832.[9] He was a member of the Saint Petersburg Academy of Sciences, the Académie des Inscriptions et Belles-Lettres, the Société Asiatique, and the Russian Academy of Sciences.[11][12]He was married to Jenny Lecamus.[13] He died on June 4, 1832, in Paris.[1][5].
