## Summary

Gurgen Sahakyan was a theoretical physicist and university teacher born in Sarnaghbyur on September 10, 1913. [1][1] He died in Yerevan on March 26, 2000.  He received his education from Yerevan State University and the Lebedev Physical Institute. [1] His professional career spanned several major institutions: he worked at Yerevan State University from 1950 until his death, at the Yerevan Physics Institute from 1950 to 1962, and at Byurakan Observatory from 1962 to 1970. [1] His fields of work were theoretical physics and astrophysics.  He was a member of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia. [2]
