He was a member of the Schutzstaffel.He received the Military Merit Cross II. Class, Military Merit Cross I. Class, War Victory Cross, Nazi Party Long Service Award, and Ostvolk Medal 2nd Class in Silver without Swords.[2] He died on March 9, 1947, at the Brenner Pass.[1].
