Their children were Princess Alexia of Greece and Denmark, Pavlos, Crown Prince of Greece, Prince Nikolaos of Greece and Denmark, Princess Theodora of Greece and Denmark, and Prince Philippos of Greece and Denmark.[3]He was educated at Anavryta Classical Lyceum, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, University of Cambridge, and Victoria College.[6] His awards included Knight of the Order of the Golden Fleece, Knight Grand Cross with Collar of the Order of Saint Olav‎, Knight Grand Cross with Collar of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic, Knight of the Order of the Elephant, Order of the Redeemer, and Order of Saints George and Constantine, plus 2 more.[7] He died January 10, 2023, in Athens, with the cause of death listed as stroke.[8][9].
